Do you feel stressed by the nearby street or the noise from the neighbors, even though the balcony should be a place to relax?
With a balcony acoustic system from Bruag you can reduce this stress. Conversely, our system also prevents your conversations from being heard on the street. FORMBOARD TOP PINE® or CELLON® is not only convincing acoustically, but also visually.
Our CELLON® panel is a high-pressure laminate panel (HPL Compact or solid core panel) consisting of 70% cellulose webs and 30% phenolic resin. The extremely weather and frost-resistant material is ideal for outdoor applications.
The HPL panel convinces with absolute moisture resistance and minimal expansion. In contrast to conventional HPL panels, CELLON® is characterized not only by the variety of shapes and colors available, but above all by its natural appearance. The colour is applied directly to the resin and thus the top layer, which means that the sterile resin surface does not stand out, but rather the selected color concept is ideally emphasized.
The raw panels are project-specifically cut to the desired dimensions using laser technology (including drill holes). You choose the width (x) and the length (y) of the panels individually. Do you want round cuts or additional cut-outs? Simply draw them in your DXF plan and they will be manufactured to size. Please consider the following raw panel formats for waste optimisation:

The FORMBOARD TOP PINE® panel is a high-density wood-based panel bonded with polyurethane. The material is moisture and temperature resistant and is used in protected outdoor areas.
The advantage of FORMBOARD TOP PINE® is above all its price efficiency and ecology. It is a product in which the sawdust from wood processing is reused. A special gluing process makes this board suitable for outdoor use. The ideal application is in the structurally protected façade area and as roof soffits including terrace acoustics. However, the surfaces of the boards may change somewhat over time, i.e. become rougher, for example.

Due to the large design variety of the perforated FORMBOARD TOP PINE® or CELLON® panels, it is easy to select beautiful patterns with a proportion of open area of 40% and more. The openings of the perforated panels are covered by a fleece on the back. For an optimal sound absorption value, the construction is supplemented with a sound absorber and an air space behind it.
The effect of the acoustic system essentially depends on the proportion of holes in the perforated panels. Conventional perforated gypsum panels have an open portion of approx. 8% (green curve) compared to the results our perforated panels with 20% (red) and 40% (blue) open areas. Here it is evident that the sounds are absorbed much better above 200 Hz.
The position, the structure and the perforation of the acoustic system are key factors for the greatest possible effect. We help you with the planning, the selection of the design as well as with writting of the tender text and produce the panels individually according to the agreed drawings. We deliver all components of the system directly to the installer. The measurements and assembly on site are carried out by the installation company, which also prepares the overall offer in accordance with the cost estimate.
Stress Reduction thanks to Bruag Balcony Acoustics. Noise is a daily issue in populated areas. More and more apartments are beings built close to roads and railway lines. This requires use of efficient noise reduction systems. Bruag’s acoustics solutions for interior and exterior applications provide a reduction in noise pollution. On the one hand, the Bruag system reduces the noise from the streets or the railway. On the other hand, conversations held on the balcony cannot be heard by neighbours and pedestrians. The degree of noise reduction achieved by Bruag’s system has already been tested and its effectiveness has been confirmed: the acoustics panels can reduce noise by over 15%.
Let yourself be inspired by projects that have already been implemented or go on to the technical information sheet for balcony acoustics, the brochure for all outdoor applications or our perforation collection with design templates. In addition to the almost unlimited variety of shapes, there is also a very large selection of color options.
