„Not the surrounding surfaces are the primary driver of ambiance in a room, but the combination of light and volume is responsible for the overall room ambiance.” says Cyrill Bischof, senior partner at Bischof Partner Architecture. The renowned Swiss architect has used perforated Bruag balcony railings in the new apartment complex “Sonnenring” to make rooms brighter. Different angles of insolation are responsible for different atmospheres and varying plays of light and shadow within a day – adding a non-static element to the robust structure of the building. Meanwhile, the perforations in the “Sonnenring” have also been used in the bicycle stands and in the entrance area – giving the building a recognisable touch of character and acting as a connector between different parts of the building. Bruag’s balcony claddings are available in more than 100 standard perforations, but we are also able to produce claddings exactly according to your individual plans.  Project “Sonnenring” demonstrates that individual and urban design and a limited budget are not necessarily contradicting each other. The goal of the project is to supply more than 100 modern apartments to fair prices.
