The "Haus der Schüler", which was built in 2010 in Tuttlingen, Germany, distinguishes itself not only by its name from conventional school buildings, but also by its highly inspirational design. On the outside the building is surrounded by slanting structural supports which, on the one hand, carry the roof of the permanently installed solar screening and, on the other hand, form the perfect contrast to the dark elevations which are clad with weather-resistant Formboard facade panels. Formboard top pine is a wood-based building board, which is also available in large sizes of up to 6 meters and in all NCS and RAL colour shades; the idea of using this material as part of an overall design concept is truly exciting. The large panels underscore the stylish effect of the window pattern and impart a strong identity to this highly original building with its prefabricated timber elements, which goes far beyond the local region.
